King is 13 yr old quarter horse gelding that stands 15.2 hands. He is big and stocky and can easily carry any size rider all day long. A Gorgeous buckskin, that has impeccable ground manners and will be your favorite trail horse just like he has been everyone’s at our barn. I have let all levels of riders take him out on the trails, and he is a solid citizen every time. He rides with the group, out alone, will lead and follow and then make your own trails taking him brush hopping through the thick brush. He is not spooky or reactive out on the trail. Crosses water, goes swimming, put him in 4 wheel drive and go up any incline or hill you want to try, then go right through any muddy spot, this horse will not care. He has been trail ridden all across the US at many popular places and has been exposed to any type of terrain that is imaginable. He will not make a sound back at camp and it is so nice to have a horse that you do not have to worry about getting loose, fidgeting, or being anxious. He hauls and travels great and settles right in to new places. As wonderful as he is on the trails, King has spent some time ranching and is no stranger to cattle. He works and sorts, been used as a rope horse, checked fences lines and done all aspects of that job. He has a very nice handle and for being a big horse he can really move when asked! Huge stops and nice turn around. Will open all gates, and stands patient and quietly. We have taken him to many saddle clubs, fun shows and he has carried the flag for the anthems. He has been so good for us and really a nice horse to haul around. He could easily transition into a second career as a junior/ high school rodeo horse. King is a very broke, great looking gelding that has been tons of fun to own and have around. He is consistently the same horse every time you ride him.
