Canyon is a trail riders dream horse! Canyon is a registered AQHA Gelding with a good pedigree, he stands at 15.2 hands and is 4 years old. He is a true blue roan with good bone structure, great feet, a big kind eye, and long mane and tail. Canyon has a sensible head on his shoulders and acts like a horse three times his age He has a heart of gold. At just 4 years old his experience is amazing. He’s been ridden down the road, around the ranch, hauled to other arenas, and out in the pastures. One of the best things about him is how smooth his gaits are. You can ride his rocking chair lope on a loose rein for hours and he is as smooth as glass. He stands for mounting and dismounting. He will also lay down on command or sidepass over to a gate for you for easy mounting. Canyon also loads, hauls, ties, is good for the farrier, and is EASY to catch. This gelding has one of those personalities that he always wants to be with people. He LOVES attention. This is a HARD type to find with his tranquil yet courageous disposition. He has completed our desensitization program and doesn’t mind a flag, walk over bridges, tarps, etc. He is no stranger to a day in the woods he’s has been exposed to wildlife, traffic, and loud noises. He will bravely take the lead or be happy to take any position along the trail. Canyon has been ridden all over the pastures and back roads of northeast TX. He’s also been ridden at several horse trails in our area and been ridden all over the Red River which is right by our land. He can handle any type of terrain. The possibles are endless for this boy as he is very user friendly and has been exposed to a little bit of everything. He’s the kind of horse that gets along with anyone. I had a college girl working for me all summer and he was her favorite horse we have. He taught her a lot and because of him her confidence and horsemanship skills improved tremendously in just a few months.
