Trail Jumping All Around Draft Cross Gelding

Dapples the size of apples! Just try to count the dapples on this guy! Smokey is a stout-built draft cross gelding standing around 15.2hh. He will weigh 1250lbs, is 9 years old, and has that super pretty dapple grey coloring with a silver mane and tail! He is one cool-looking guy! Not only does he look cool, but he also has all of the other boxes checked… he is Mr. Personality, as friendly as they come, loves attention, and is very calm-natured. Smokey has been in our program since last year and has completed the natural horsemanship training and does some liberty work and he also knows some tricks, he will bow, lay down and set on his rump.

Every member of our family has ridden Smokey, all the way down to our 7-year-old. Smokey is great on trails, and he will cross creeks, ditches, logs, and navigate rough, rocky areas. He has a smooth jog, a VERY VERY nice, easy-to-set lope, a good stop, turns a circle both ways, and backs with ease! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer, turkey, cows, and dogs, and will go anywhere he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Smokey is not cinchy, cold-backed, and does not crib or weave. In addition to riding, Smokey has also been driven down the highways. Smokey is a super cool horse that anyone is sure to love!!
