Dorus Du Domain Z is a 2010 Zangershiede gelding by Diamant De Semily standing 17.1 hands high. A seasoned and fool proof partner in the show ring, a reliable trail horse, and a kick along packer for the kids, "Donut" is a been there done that packer that anyone can enjoy! His accolades include an FEI record in Europe a mile long up to 1.50m, with both professional and amateur riders. Young Jumper championship titles as a 6, 7, and 8 year old, and he has a solid record in the US with juniors, amateurs, and has even dabbled in the equitation classes too! Donut is useful, ALWAYS jumps, and can be enjoyed across the board by basically any level rider. Whether you need a confidence booster to get back into the show ring, or just want a capable and safe horse to enjoy around the farm, Donut is happy to take care of his rider no matter the job. This is one of my personal horses that I unfortunately just do not have the time to compete, otherwise he would be staying with me! His current job is walk trot, cross rail kids lessons. How many 1.40 jumpers can double as a beginners lesson horse?

On the flat, you can put absolutely anyone on this horse. Seriously, throw the husband, guests, young kids, first timers, anyone! He is the epitome of, "Slow and steady wins the race." He's the perfect confidence builder, get back into riding, type because he will never overtake you. Even with his size, he is slow, gentle, and forgiving to flat and lesson on. He is a stick and spur ride for sure. He's the same if you ride him every day or once a month, he goes around and does his job as he should. He could truly go teach walk trot lessons as easily as he could jump someone around the 1.20 with some more fitness. The kids love taking lessons on him. He's used to going out on hacks after lessons, and always takes good care of the kids.

Over fences, Donut knows his job through and through. I'll never forget my first time jumping this horse. All I could think about was how nice it felt to have a horse that felt so solid and trustworthy. Any distance, any speed, strange turns, scary filler, it doesn't matter to him, he will always get you to the other side. Even as the fences get bigger, he stays consistent. He's the type that you memorize the course and let him do the rest, no need to overthink or worry, just enjoy the ride.

On the trails, you'd think you were on a Quarter Horse and not a warmblood! Donut is no stranger to trail riding, hunter paces, and even beach rides!

In the barn, Donut is friendly and personable. He can easily be bribed by a treat or two, and learns who the treat lady is very quickly! He enjoys living outside, but of course, is a good boy when stalled too. Donut is an easy guy to have around, and has a great personality, he really enjoys bonding with his person! Donuts only "quirk" is that he does not do well trailering alone. He gets nervous and tense, though there is normally other horses going to the show, lesson, and out to trail ride, etc, so it has never been an issue for us to have a buddy on the trailer for Donut. As a horse of this caliber normally does, Donut does require regular maintenance if you were looking to use him in the show ring, please inquire for more details.
