Icelandic Horse – Gelding – Rhythmical Dream for Experienced Riders

With a heavy heart, we are offering our 12-year-old Icelandic gelding "Mar" to nurturing and horse-friendly hands. He will turn 13 in June. He stands at a height of 1.38 m, was imported from Iceland 3.5 years ago, and has since proven to be a reliable partner with great potential.

Mar is 5-gaited, currently being ridden in 4 gaits. He shows rhythmical, clearly separated gaits with a particularly beautiful and easy-to-ride tölt. He is well-trained, blacksmith and loading friendly, has been free of eczema so far, and is kept robust. In terms of character, he is willing to perform, sensitive, and motivated – with a consistent, fair rider, Mar is a true dream horse. A confident young rider is also suitable. He is not a children’s horse – this is also the reason why we are letting him go.

He is familiar with indoor arenas, oval tracks, round pens, lunging, groundwork, and more… but his passion clearly lies in the outdoors ;)

Regularly dewormed, dental care, and osteopathic examinations.

Home before price – we value a loving, suitable lifelong home more than the financial return.

Mar currently lives on a pure Icelandic horse farm in Gelnhausen (Hesse) in a gelding herd. There he shows himself to be compatible, polite, and rather low-ranking. We wish for him to continue having contact with Icelandic horses.
