Gunsmoke is a gorgeous, Grey Percheron Cross Gelding, standing 16H, and is 5 years old. He is the proverbial GENTLE GIANT. Gunsmoke has absolutely no vices and is gentle to ride for riders of any age or size. He is absolutely flawless on the trails, 100% traffic-safe, and yes, we even have video of us shooting a gun off his back and popping balloons. You must watch the video to see that, it’s amazing. Gunsmoke will ride bareback, English, western, even without a bridle. He will ride the same this week as he will next month, no matter how long he sits. Gunsmoke is absolutely perfect on the ground to work around, whether you’re 5 years old or 65 years old. He picks up all of his feet with no trouble, and the farrier said that he is one of the best he’s ever had, especially for a big horse. Gunsmoke is a horse that’s just a pleasure to be around. Gunsmoke will meet you at the gate, load in any trailer, is easy to bathe, and is afraid of nothing. Here in Texas, Gunsmoke has come across deer, armadillos, snakes, bicycles, all farm equipment, and of course, plenty of hogs. We do have cows that we have worked with him on, and he loves it. Gunsmoke will ride alone or in a group at either end. He stands still to be mounted, whether from the ground, a mounting block, or even a log in the trail. He is an excellent family horse in the sense that anyone can handle and ride him. He doesn’t know a stranger. He is an easy keeper, up to date on all of his shots, worming, Coggins, and PPE. They are all included. Gunsmoke will take his leads in both directions and will also ground tie. He is a gorgeous gray color with black legs and a dark mane and tail. If you look at his tail, he’s got a perfect silver spot in it. It really makes him unique.
