Thor ist ein 8-jähriger brauner Wallach mit einem Stockmaß von ca. 1,60 m, der vor allem mit einem punktet: seinem wirklich wunderbaren Charakter. Im Umgang ist Thor ein absoluter Schatz. Er ist freundlich, neugierig, menschenbezogen und unkompliziert und genießt Aufmerksamkeit und Zuwendung. Ein Pferd, das man einfach gerne um sich hat. Die ersten Jahre seines Lebens war Thor Privat- und Freizeitpferd. Er wurde überwiegend im Gelände sowie auf dem Reitplatz geritten und solide auf Freizeitniveau gearbeitet. Nach seinem Verkauf aus privaten Gründen wurde Thor von einem Reitstallbesitzer übernommen und dort in seiner weiteren Ausbildung stärker in Richtung Doma Vaquera und Alta Escuela gefördert. Dadurch kennt er auch Elemente, die man bei einem klassischen Freizeitpferd nicht unbedingt erwarten würde: So beherrscht er beispielsweise die Piaffe an der Hand und zeigt sie auch unter dem Reiter mit Unterstützung vom Boden aus. Darüber hinaus ist ihm eine stärker versammelte Arbeitsweise bereits vertraut. Wir selbst sehen Thors Zukunft jedoch weniger im anspruchsvollen Ausbildungs- oder Turniersport, sondern vielmehr als vielseitigen, gut gerittenen Freizeitpartner. Deshalb arbeiten wir ihn aktuell bewusst in einer lockeren, vorwärts-abwärts orientierten und entspannten Reitweise und geben ihm dabei wieder mehr Raum im Hals und Rahmen. Diese Art der Arbeit nimmt Thor sehr gerne an und zeigt sich dabei zufrieden, losgelassen und kooperativ. Gerade seine unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen machen ihn zu einem interessanten Pferd: Thor kennt sowohl das entspannte Freizeitreiten und Gelände als auch weiterführende Lektionen und Versammlung. Man muss aus diesem Können nichts machen – aber man darf, wenn man Freude daran hat. Für Thor wünschen wir uns einen Menschen, der vor allem seinen tollen Charakter zu schätzen weiß und einen lieben, vielseitigen und menschenbezogenen Partner sucht. Ob entspannte Ausritte, abwechslungsreiche Arbeit auf dem Platz, Bodenarbeit oder hin und wieder ein kleiner Ausflug in die Welt der klassischen Lektionen – Thor bringt vieles mit und ist dabei vor allem eines: ein richtig sympathischer Kerl mit ganz viel Herz.
Thor is an 8-year-old bay gelding standing approximately 16.1 hh, who impresses above all with his truly wonderful character. In handling, Thor is an absolute sweetheart. He is friendly, curious, people-oriented, and uncomplicated, enjoying attention and affection. He's a horse that simply makes you want to be around him. The first years of his life, Thor was a private and leisure horse. He was primarily ridden in the terrain and on the riding arena, working solidly at a recreational level. After being sold for private reasons, Thor was taken over by a riding school owner, who further developed him with a focus on Doma Vaquera and Alta Escuela. As a result, he is familiar with elements that one wouldn't necessarily expect from a typical leisure horse: for example, he can perform piaffe at the hand and demonstrates it under saddle with support from the ground. Additionally, he is accustomed to a more collected way of working. However, we see Thor’s future less in demanding training or competition, and more as a versatile, well-ridden leisure partner. Therefore, we currently work him consciously in a relaxed, forward-downward, and relaxed riding style, giving him more freedom in the neck and frame. Thor enjoys this type of work very much and appears content, relaxed, and cooperative. His diverse experiences make him an interesting horse: Thor is familiar with both relaxed trail riding and terrain, as well as advanced movements and collection. There is no need to push this ability—unless one wishes to do so, and finds joy in it. For Thor, we are looking for someone who truly appreciates his wonderful character and is seeking a kind, versatile, and people-oriented partner. Whether for relaxed rides, varied work in the arena, groundwork, or occasional ventures into classical lessons—Thor has a lot to offer and is primarily a very likable fellow with a big heart.
