Tonto is a stunning 37 ½ inch, 10-year-old, black and white paint pony gelding. Tonto has been part of our family for the past 3 ½ years and he is truly one of a kind! He is as sweet and kind as he is cute. He may be small, but he’s got a big heart and an even bigger personality.
Tonto is extremely patient, whether our girls are brushing, braiding and loving on him, he’s being ridden in the arena or down the trail, he is steady and trustworthy with his most precious cargo.
Tonto has done a little bit of everything. From trail riding to working cattle-Tonto goes wherever you point him, through ditches, over deadfall and through water. He will lead or follow, willingly packing along his little passengers. Tonto has been used to push cattle out of holding pens and into the arena. He has also been used as a turnback horse when we are training our cutting horses. Tonto has even chased and roped goats.
Tonto has been hauled and shown to our local fun shows. He does lead line as well as walk-trot classes, ranch riding and ranch trail. No matter what the job, he always gives his very best and takes care of his rider every step of the way.
Tonto is the kind of pony you can trust with anyone. He is calm, patient and gentle. He’s happy to go for a quiet ride, take part in a day of ranch work or go show. He’s always eager to please and loves being part of whatever is going on.
Tonto does fine in a stall or out in the pasture with other horses and is the first one to meet you at the gate. Tonto loads in a stock or slant trailer, ties, clips, bathes and stands for the farrier. He is 100% sound.
