Sheriff is one of the coolest little horses we’ve had. This has been Saylor’s personal go to horse for the last year and a half. He’s the one she grabs when she goes to work with her dad, to ship and sort on, he’s great to drag calves on and he’s solid outside alone on a big gather.
Sheriff has a huge heart and an enormous personality, he will literally meet you at the gate every single day ready for whatever you want to do. He’s been taught to curbside mount, so he will side pass to any mounting block fence, tree, or whatever’s handy for the kids to jump on and go for a joy ride bareback. Sheriff has flawless transitions up or down, I promise there isn’t on smoother. His trot and lope just float and are so smooth anyone would love them. Sheriff has a great stop, side pass and turns around one handed. He’s packed all ages of kiddos along to rope the sled, breakaway slow calves and steer stop the steers. He’s good to doctor cattle on outside as well.
Sheriff has been hauled along to the JR rodeos to push calves, he’s also been the horse we have loaned our nieces to get their start going through the barrels flags, goats and poles. He always knows exactly what level of rider is in his back and adapts to them, it’s truly special to see.
Sheriff has also packed our youngest Townes around at the Palo Duro Canyons and the Canadian River! Sheriff crosses all the water and rocky terrain with ease and is extremely careful with his footfall. He has spent many afternoons babysitting Townes while his older brother rides his dirt bikes all around him.
Saylor has even cruised Sheriff around English and take him over some 18 inch jumps. The word “NO” just isn’t in Sheriffs Vocabulary!
Sheriff fits every single child from 1 year to 21 years. He’s FUN and SAFE and one of the more PURE horses you will ever find.
