Waylon is a stout 10 year old gray quarter horse gelding standing 15hh with big bone making him the perfect size for riders of all ages and experience levels. He is super broke and gentle every single day. Whether you're saddling him up for arena work or heading out on the trail, he is always consistent and reliable. He picks up both leads, has a smooth lope, a solid stop, and a comfortable slow jog. He moves off leg pressure, has a clean one-handed turnaround, and an overall soft feel.
Waylon meets you at the gate, is in your pocket, and ready to spend the day with you. He has been ridden everywhere—from trails, in traffic, even through town—and he handles it all with confidence. He is great around farm equipment and wildlife, dirtbikes, dogs, and cattle. He is unfazed by commotion, and has a calm, trainable mind. He is great with bathing and fly spray, loves to swim, rides bareback and double with a buddy seat for the young kiddos who aren’t quite ready to ride on their own. He is sure footed and will ride with a bit or a side pull.
Waylon will ride out alone or with a group just the same. He crosses logs, goes through ditches and deep water, up and down steep hills nice and easy. He is not barn nor buddy sour, has been overnight camping, Waylon is a seasoned trail horse deluxe!
He has been ridden by multiple children in our lesson program and used in birthday party’s as a pony horse. He is always steady, trustworthy, careful and level-headed.
Waylon is a solid head and heel horse. He has been hauled to rodeos and is a pleasure to ride in different environments. He can be left off, cinched up, and ride off with no issues.
On the ground, Waylon is as easy and quiet as they come. He has wonderful manners, stands tied quietly, bathes, fly spray, loads, hauls, and ground ties and is excellent for the farrier. He is good in or out of a stall. Waylon gets along with other horses in the pasture, has no bad habits or vices, and stays the same steady gelding every single day. Waylon is easy to catch and tack. He is patient with kids and forgiving with beginners while at the same time, he’s enjoyable and fun for the experienced to ride as well.
Waylon has show experience and would also make a great 4h horse, he has been played with on the barrels and the poles. If you’re looking for a well-rounded horse that the whole family can enjoy for years to come, Waylon is the one!
