Boone is a 10yr old red roan gelding standing 15.1 hands tall and built like a mac truck. He is as wide as he is tall. Boone stands quietly, loads and unloads easily on and off trailer, bathes, and stands like a gentleman for the farrier.
If you’re looking for that calm, cool, honest, collected and will take care of you type of horse then Boone is you man! There isn’t much he hasn’t seen or done, with a resume a mile long he has been hauled all over the country and has dabbled in a little bit of everything. Boone has been ridden on many trails and has seen the sites with different terrain, he has done ranch work, roped some big bulls, gathered cattle, sorting, loading trucks, checking fences, rode in the grand entry at rodeos, pushed the longhorns at the stockyards in Fort Worth TX and been ridden in parades. Boone is just a jack of all trades with no job or trail too big or small for him. He genuinely loves having a job and taking care of his owner. He licks his lips every time you ask him to do something.
When the work is done, Boone switches gears into a trail horse deluxe. He is absolutely a blast to ride out on the trail he will cross whatever you put in front of him and point him at. He doesn’t care how deep the water, bridges, big logs, steep ditches he will make you rethink your life choices-he crosses them all while taking care of his rider the entire way. He rides down the trail on a loose rein and low headed. He rides out alone or in a group and it doesn’t matter to him if he is in the front, middle or back he’s just happy to be out riding.
Boone is super broke, one hand neck rein, soft in the bridle, he will walk, trot, and lope perfect circles on a loose rein always picking up the correct leads. He will side pass to open and close gates and stops off your seat just sit and say whoa and be ready for him to stop.
He can go right back to work or hit the trails; it honestly doesn't matter to him as long as he gets to go along.
