Carry Corona Cash, affectionately known as “Cash,” is the kind of gelding that’s hard to find and even harder to replace. This handsome 10-year-old bay gelding that carries names in his pedigree such as Dash for Cash and Corona Cartel, stands 15.1 hands tall and has spent the last almost two years showing himself to be the dependable, all-around partner everyone wants in their barn. Cash has done a little bit of everything — from working cattle and extensively trail riding, carrying around tarps, to ponying younger, greener horses with patience and confidence. He crosses bridges, water, and obstacles without hesitation, is traffic safe, and will quietly cruise through town on a loose rein like he’s done it his whole life. Cash has a sweet, easygoing and unbothered demeanor that makes him a pleasure to be around every single day. He’s the type that stands tied for hours to be groomed and loved on, whether it’s the kids, grandma, or anyone in between giving him attention. He stands quietly to be saddled, takes the bridle easily, bathes well, stands excellent for the farrier, and loads and unloads from the trailer flawlessly. Under saddle, he neck reins, works off your leg, and stays soft in the face, making him an enjoyable ride. He’s easy to keep and gets along well pastured with other horses and ponies or perfectly content by himself. Cash has been on multiple week-long camping trips and ties on a tether line without issue. Cash will crib if kept in a stall, so we simply keep him outside where he does great. He’s used to being around an array of other animals as well, including turkeys, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, cows, and pigs.
