Cracker Jax is a 4 year old 14.2 hand bay roan crossbred gelding. Jax has been ranched on nearly every day in the wide Oklahoma country, chasing wild horses and gathering cattle from all ends of the pasture. When needing to unmount for any reason, you don’t even need to worry about tying! Jax is a seasoned veteran in the ground tying aspect. He is a horse I never have to worry about being any different than he was the day before. He has shown his true color to us time and time again, and that color is striking gold through a bay roan coat!
If plodding around cattle isn’t quite your criteria, Cracker Jax has been ridden English in and out of the arena as well. Going down the trails and over the jumps, he’s proven himself capable of all!
Speaking of arena, Jax shows heavy interest in arena work, picking up each lead with ease and having one of the smoothest one step short lopes I’ve ever ridden! He has been played around with on the barrels and poles, and has been hauled to several playdays/funshows.
In the pasture, Jax gets along with others well and sets lower on the totem pole. He has been pastured with a variety of different animals including mares, geldings, young horses, donkeys, goats, and even a zedonk! Jax also does not mind your typical farm animals such as dogs, cats, or chickens. He is not fearful of loud noises like machinery or vehicles and has been deemed traffic safe!
Cracker Jax enjoys the trails and will cross any obstacle placed in front of him. He is no stranger to deep waters and steep inclines. This young horse has handled everything with total ease and confidence, and truthfully we hate to see him go! But, we are excited to see what setting Jax ends up in and how many smiles are to come with!
