(er wird im Oktober 5 Jahre alt) Dieser Wallach ist ein wenig anders, er hat große Knochen und einen kräftigen Körperbau, ist aber nur 14,2HH groß. Blue kann Englisch und Western reiten und ist auch zum Fahren ausgebildet. Ein Nachbar von uns brauchte ein Pferd für den Sommer, um es mit einem seiner Pferde zu koppeln und fuhr sie überall hin. Wir haben ihn einzeln eingespannt und er ist losgefahren, als ob er das schon sein ganzes Leben lang machen würde. Blue ist verkehrssicher und war schon auf den Straßen und in der Stadt unterwegs. Er ist 100% gesund und hat keine gesundheitlichen Probleme. Er ist an die Arbeit in der Arena gewöhnt und hat tonnenweise Trail-Meilen hinter sich. Wir haben ihn während der Abkalbesaison zum Anseilen und Verarzten von Kälbern eingesetzt und ihn im letzten Winter auch zum Sortieren der Kuh-Kalb-Paare verwendet. Wir haben auch Ochsen von ihm abgeseilt. Als 2-Jähriger wurde er ein paar Mal dazu benutzt, einen Dummy aus der Box zu holen. Blue wurde im letzten Herbst auf einer Elchjagd in den Bergen von Colorado in einer Meute eingesetzt. Lässt sich gut ziehen. Versteht sich gut mit anderen Pferden. (he will be 5 in October) This one is a bit of a different story, he's big boned and stout built but only stands 14.2HH. Blue is broken to ride English & Western and is also broken to drive. A neighbor of ours needed a horse for the summer to hitch double with one of his horses and drove them all over. We hitched him up single and he drove off like he's been doing it his whole life. Blue is traffic safe and has been out on the roads and through town. He is 100% sound and clean legged with no health issues. He is used to arena work and has had tons of trail miles. We used him to rope and doctor calves through the calving season and also used him to sort the cow/calf pairs last winter. We also roped steers off of him. He was used to track a dummy out of the box a couple times as a 2 year old. Blue was used in a pack string out in the mountains of Colorado on an elk hunt last fall. Trailers well. Gets along fine with other horses. Stands for the farrier and currently has shoes on all 4 feet. Blue moves off of leg cues, picks up the correct leads, and neck reins. Crosses creeks, logs, etc. He has completed a mountain trail coarse, he will cross obstacles with ease. We have owned Blue and had him on our farm for the past 2 1/2 years. *Side note: Blue does grow a nice long mane and tail, his tail got chewed off last summer by another horse and is growing out nicely again. His mane was cut a few month ago to help it grow back thicker.
