This is the gelding that you can throw a saddle on any day of the week, point in any direction, and know you’re in good hands!
This stunning true blue roan AQHA gelding is as easy on the eyes as he is steady in the saddle. He’s built right, and absolutely gorgeous- with a friendly, gentle personality that makes him so enjoyable to be around!
Registered AQHA name, LC HECKUVA LEO 460 with some impressive bloodlines, this 5 year old gelding stands 15 hands tall, has plenty of experience, and a very good mind.
Diesel is naturally friendly and loves attention, he is always ready to greet you at the gate. If you enjoy being around horses that are “in your pocket” you’ll love him. He has a gentle soul and a kind eye, and he is ready to be your best bud.
He’s easy on the ground, stands quietly to groom, saddle, and mount, and has excellent manners. He loads, ties, bathes, and stands for the vet and farrier without a fuss.
Diesel rides soft in the bridle, responds to leg cues, and is smooth and fun to ride! He has been trained to side pass over to pickup his rider on the mounting block, which is handy. Diesel has been a trusted trail partner with us, He’s safe, solid and has a great brain! He’s been one of our go-to choices when new riders want to go out or if we want to pack a kid along. He’s been ridden a little bit of everywhere, out on the trails crossing water, climbing steep rocky hills, checking cows and fences, arena riding, moving steers in the pasture as well as riding around downtown in the busy traffic! Diesel is sure-footed, calm, and confident. New scenery doesn’t bother him, passing wildlife, or navigating through rough terrain, he handles it all with patience and a steady step. It’s easy to relax and enjoy the ride on a nice horse like him. You’ll feel at ease on his back!
We have put him in a variety of different situations, with an assortment of riders at different levels, and he remains patient and proves himself reliable and trustworthy every time.
He’s also been started roping, and has done a little bit of English, just for the fun of it!
Diesel is versatile, well rounded, adaptable, and ready to succeed in whatever direction his next owner wants to take him. Even if that’s a best friend in horse form!
