Meet KODY – a true standout in any crowd! This 6-year-old, gray, Quarter Horse gelding is the perfect combination of versatility & intelligence, standing at a rider-friendly 14.2 hands. Kody is well-trained, a joy to ride, and pleasure to have in the barn. At home on the farm, out on the trail, or in the arena, Kody has a lot to offer making him a great fit for a wide range of riders and activities!
On the trail, Kody is a seasoned mount. He confidently navigates various terrain with ease. Kody has seen it all! He crosses water, carefully passes over rocks, goes up and down inclines, over ditches, and through downfall with ease. Even though Kody rides well amongst a group, he is also suitable for someone who wants to explore alone. He craves an adventure!
In the arena, Kody has smooth transitions, lopes slow & collected both directions on the correct lead from a near stand still. He spins, sidepasses, & is easily controlled by your feet & seat. Kody’s training foundation is in western riding, but he effortlessly transitions over to English. Started over cross rails, he’s a natural, has plenty of scope, is very willing, & always looking to please.
Kody would excel in trail competitions. He opens and closes gates, crosses bridges, goes over the “seesaw” bridge, under hanging tarps, through pool noodles, as well as mastering several other obstacles. He has undergone desensitization training. Unbothered by the tarp, carries the flag, comfortable with gunfire, & is traffic/ATV/UTV safe.
Kody is a personal favorite. He thrives off a human relationship. During groundwork, he is in tune with my every cue…he’s waiting on me to guide him for the next step. He is easily caught, I walk up to him anywhere in the pasture. He enjoys treats & endless grooming sessions. Kody hauls well. He’s the same at home that he is when he’s out and about. We haul to & ride at various arenas and trails often. He isn’t phased by an unfamiliar setting. Kody has zero stall vices, he’s always neat & tidy! He turns out daily in a mixed herd with mares, geldings, & mini’s.
Kody is an exceptional gelding, truly a fun ride, awaiting his next partner. The foundation to advance in a specific discipline, as well as, the experience to be someone’s main trail companion. He has had a recent wellness/soundness exam, current on coggins, vaccinations, and comes with health certificate required for transport.
