Check out this pretty lady! 😍 ✨ Vegas ✨ is a 4-year-old Perch/QHx mare standing right around 16.1–16.2hh. This mare has been blessed in more ways than one. She is sturdy, stunning, and her movement is to die for! She is a lighter, athletic build, making her ideal for people that want the good draft brain—minus the dinner-plate feet. She is broke to ride English, Western, bareback—and she drives single and double. She also lays down on command with an easy cue!
In the ring, Vegas is a simple and straightforward ride. She has had an amazing foundation put on her, and she’s ready for any direction you take her. She has one of the best walk-to-canter transitions in the barn, she stops on a dime, and she leg-yields and side-passes. She’s an incredibly fun horse to ride with a comfortable trot and canter. She will extend and collect, she’s very adjustable, she has lovely self-carriage and balance, and she has a good attitude to match! She would kill the game in the dressage arena, cross country, or arena jumping! She has been lightly started over small jumps and has proven to be cute, honest, and athletic. This mare has one of the best brains—you can pull her out when it’s windy and freezing, and she’ll keep her head on her shoulders. She is a rare one, with a steady demeanor that outshines horses twice her age!
On the trail, Vegas has some miles under her belt, and she’s a true trailblazer. She goes anywhere you point her—no questions asked! She’s been out on hunter paces with us this fall, and she proved to be the same steady horse in a busy environment. She likes to go out with happy ears forward the whole ride. She’s happy to go anywhere you put her and won’t get upset if another horse gets in her space. She’s been through rocky trails, open fields, through and over bridges, into the creeks and river, and has seen all the wildlife you encounter without so much as batting an eye. She will pop over logs and small fences; she has an easy jump to ride and is guaranteed to get you to the other side. She’s a babysitter when she’s out and would be suitable for a variety of riders.
In the barn, Vegas is sweet, mannered, and has zero vices. She is not your typical mare—she gets along with everyone, no drama needed. She stands to clip, bathe, groom, and tack up, and she’s always a lovely lady for the farrier, vet, and dentist. She loves her people and loves scratches so much she’ll make funny faces! Vegas acts the same on property as she does trailered out, and she trailers and loads quietly. She has been through our desensitization program and passed with flying colors. She’s easily a barn favorite here—one you never have to worry about and one we always look forward to working with.
