Companion Horse Seeking a Loving Home

Due to personal circumstances, we are offering our 22-year-old gelding for rehoming.

He stands approximately 16.1 hh and is absolutely well-behaved and easy to handle in daily interactions and within the herd.  
He is familiar with guided children's riding and does not make any mistakes around children.  
He can be handled by children at any time, and very young children can pass underneath him safely.

He is barefoot with excellent hooves.  
Theoretically, he is still suitable for riding but would need regular work to maintain this. Currently, he is lunged once a week with children.

Due to age, he has osteoarthritis in the fetlock joint, but he still moves well on soft ground, which is crucial for him given his condition.

He does not require supplementary feed; hay alone is sufficient 24/7. He is uncomplicated in terms of diet and has always tolerated his feed well.

He is used to being alone.  
Ideal as a companion horse, for example, for a second horse where he might need to stay alone temporarily.

He does not cope well with large herds or constant chasing by other horses – this is unfortunately the current reason for rehoming.

He is only available for placement in an open stable.  
He has been in my possession for 8 years; he has never been ill, only once experienced a throat blockage from dry muesli, after which he receives soaked feed to prevent this.

The asking price is a "donation" towards his tack; otherwise, we are simply looking for a good home and do not want money.
