Blue Ink's father, Caribbean Blue 1427, won the four-year-old championship in Falsterbo, Champion of the Youngsters, went to the final of the Young Horse World Championship, won the Stallion Trophy Flyinge and then also the six-year-old Final in Scandinavium.

The mother, Goïnka, competed up to 1.30 GP with placements and wins. She also has a full sister who competed 1.35.

Grandmother Idylle competed 1.20 before she entered the breeding stall. Idylle has since sired several difficult class horses, including Sterrehof's Edinus (1.60) Undiamo (1.45) Aminka (1.50) Catinka19 (1.40) and Vanda Vuitton (1.45).

Grandfather Columbus (Lucky Boy XX) himself went 140 and has a lineage that is lined with high-performing jumping horses and has also left prominent competition individuals in many ranks.
