“Bold En Cowboy Print” affectionately known as Hollywood in our barn is a GORGEOUS 11yr old Leopard Appaloosa gelding. He sticks 15.3h and has a massive body, lots of bone and huge strong feet!! He’s the type that is not only stunning and a head turner but he is built to last! He is 5 panel Negative.
Whether you’re looking to go for a leisurely trail ride, paper chase with friends, or hit the local show pen Hollywood has the temperament, movement & ability to do it all!! Very steady Walk, trot & canter with correct leads in the ring or out on the trail. Stands quietly to mount with a block or from a fence. He’s happy to just go for a long relaxing walk on the trail or down the road but when asked is also happy to kick it up a gear for some trotting, cantering and popping over some jumps on the trail or out at a paper chase. He is traffic & road safe and he truly LOVES riding out!!! I’ve personally trail rode him a lot and I’ve also let my friends and lesson students take him down the road & out on the trails. We have been passed on the road by farm equipment, cars, tractor trailers & have even went through a construction zone without Hollywood blinking an eye!!
True 1 finger neck rein whether your riding in a halter, shank bit, snaffle or neck rope!! Running late on time some days?!?! No worries Hollywood will happily ride anywhere in a halter & bareback as well.
Lightly started over fences inside and outside of the arena and loves it!! Can take a joke and very brave to the fences. Personally I could see him being an awesome foxhunt horse!!
He rides well with company but is also perfectly happy to ride out alone on the road & on the trails, no company required for this confident boy!!
Hauls off property like a dream alone or with company, loads and unloads very easily, settles in like a pro at new places & facilities. Will cross tie or hard tie for HOURS without moving a muscle, falls asleep to be clipped (Yes even his ears!), loves to be groomed and bathed, will wear a fake show tail with no complaints.
Desensitized To Tarps(you can completely wrap him up in it he won’t care!) balls, farm equipment, traffic. Very respectful and great ground manners. Hollywood even gives “fist bumps” on command!!
Started in showmanship & ready to go win in the halter classes!! He is a beautiful mover and could easily excel in the English show pen, ranch, or western dressage.
Nice solid big feet, Sound with no past health issues or injuries! No current maintenance & a very easy keeper!! Perfect for the vet & farrier.
Will happily live inside or out, Can be out in a mixed herd or does fine being in private turnout alone. He’s very independent under saddle, and in the barn. He could care less whether he is the only horse on the property or if the barn is full of horses.
Hollywood came out of a very reputable breeding program and started his undersaddle training there as a youngster, they raved about him & had nothing but wonderful things to say about him!!
While his pictures are beautiful, they do not do him justice of just how stunning he is in person!! One’s like him don’t come along often & we know you’ll have a blast with him just like we have!!
