He neck reins, side passes, and has a good stop. We used Racoon on miles of trails up in the mountains and he goes wherever you point him with no hesitation. We have also taken him down the main highway into town and he does not mind all the traffic and commotion. He rides great in the arena, picks up both leads, and has a smooth walk, trot and canter. He also rides English and is fancy doing it. He is gentle enough for my boys to ride and play around with. He is quiet to be around and loves attention. He does well inside or turned out in a mix herd. He rides the same every day whether you ride him every day or once a month. He stands to be tacked, mounted, washed, and for the farrier.
