Doc as we call him is an 11 yr old 15hand paint quarter horse gelding that is quiet and very well trained to ride, he sidepasses, neckreins and rides very soft in the bridle. Doc rides well in the arena and pics up both his leads and has a smooth walk, trot and a rocking chair lope. Doc always rides low headed with a loose rein and has a great stop.
Doc is quiet and does not easily get excited making him the perfect fit to teach your children how to ride, or give lessons on. Doc rides great on the trails by himself or in a group, he goes over logs, through water and wherever you point him with no hesitation.
We have also used Doc to push cattle and check fences and he enjoys it. Doc has previously been used in feed lots to push and separate cattle so he knows what a days work is like. He is laid back making him a great fit for almost any level rider.
Doc stands to be tacked and mounted and for the farrier. We have also ridden Doc down the main highway into town and he does not mind the traffic. Doc loads and unloads well. He also does well inside or turned out in a mixed herd.
